One of the most exciting releases of the year, and also one of the most unexpected... The band did a handful of rehearsals, 3 days of recording, and here it is, the first Videoflip Lp... All members are coming from cool punk rock bands, Scaners, Beaten Brats, Mogs, Claimed Choice, and get themselves together to have fun and pay their dues to the music they love, from Australian rock n'roll to UK pub rock, glam stuff and proto punk sounds... Dd Scaners is laying down incredible riffs on guitar, heavy licks and wah wah solos, sounding like an illegitimate son of Chris Spedding and Gypie Mayo on speed, while the rhythm section (Pierrick Scaners / Beaten Brats and Joey Beaten Brats / Mogs) crashes everything on their way, while the singing (?) of Swindle Simon (Claimed Choice) spits his French lyrics in a snotty/Oi/street punk tradition... There's some harp on a couple of tracks, courtesy of Buzz Harpo, long time friend and veteran of the local scene, and there's one of the most incredible record of the year. The recording took place at the famous Java Club Studios (Chicago-Sur-Rhône), as the mastering was done by our pal Daniel Husayn at North London Bomb Factory... For fans of Calcinator, Radio Birdman, Split System, early Dr Feelgood, early Hot Rods...
