Strike Anywhere's 2001 debut full-length, Change Is a Sound is for the youth possessed of all ages. Positive melodic hardcore with punk rock soul in which heartfelt revolutionary messages for the mind and heart are communicated. Defiant, unbroken, and uncompromising, it is fast, catchy, emotional HC and sing-a-long punk in the tradition of the genre's finest. As relevant now as ever, the album's lyrics explore such themes as women's rights ("Chalkline"), and police brutality ("Sunset on 32nd Street") while the song "Refusal" was featured on the soundtrack to the skateboarding video game Tony Hawk's Underground.
