Hailing from Toronto, Canada, LOLO has become a rising star in alternative pop music. Her breakthrough came with her Overkill EP, in which she deals with embarrassing adolescence ("lonely and pathetic"), heartache ("hurt less") and self-irony ("death wish"). As a result, People Magazine named her an "Emerging Artist" and Spotify included her in its EQUAL campaign, which promotes up-and-coming female artists. After signing to Hopeless Records, LOLO stepped into the spotlight with her collaboration with alt-pop artist Maggie Lindemann.
