The Blind Pigs from Sao Paulo, Brazil, are pleased to give an important album in their renowned discography - Heróis ou Rebeldes (Heroes or Rebels) from 2006 - the re-release it deserves. Considered by many in the band's home country to be their best release, many fans around the world have yet to hear this album.

It was originally released in Brazil on CD only, with the lyrics written entirely in Portuguese. Consequently, the band released it under their Portuguese name: Porcos Cegos. But when it was released, many fans didn't know it was the same band! Also, it was never released outside of Brazil - until now! Nonetheless, the album was an instant sensation in Brazil, bridging the gap between punk, streetpunk and Oi! and introducing the country to sounds influenced by contemporary US streetpunk bands such as the Reducers SF, Dropkick Murphys and the bands from TKO Records. The title track in particular, for which the band filmed a music video, became a sing-along anthem for the band's fans, also known as "The Legion of the Unconformed" After a 10" vinyl pressing sold out quickly in 2013, the album tragically went out of print.

The reissue on 12" Mardi Gras Marble vinyl from Pirates Press Records has been remastered by Dan Randall (Subhumans, The Slackers, Fucked Up) and brings new life to a master that the band were never entirely happy with. With the addition of a song that was dropped from the original track listing - "Tiros No Escuro" ("Shots in the Dark") - this is truly the record the band has always wanted to play to their fans. And since it finally bears the name "Blind Pigs" on the cover, there will be no more confusion - and as the band's frontman, Henrike Baliu, proudly says, "the world can finally experience a record that was so important to the Brazilian punk rock scene."
