Originally released in 2011, Leave It Behind represents a turning point in The Peawees' evolution. After years of cultivating a raw punk-driven rock'n'roll sound, the band expanded its vocabulary and embraced the richness of 60s soul, R&B and classic American rock traditions. The songwriting matured, the arrangements opened up, and the album revealed a group reconnecting with the roots of popular music while asserting its own identity. With eleven tracks rooted in the legacy of Motown, Stax and Chess, infused with melodic finesse and rhythmic swing, Leave It Behind showcased The Peawees' ability to blend groove, attitude and heart. The band's energy and grit remained intact, yet the album opened the doors to a wider audience beyond the punk rock scene, attracting listeners drawn to classic songwriting and timeless rock'n'roll culture. This Wild Honey Records reissue brings Leave It Behind back into circulation as part of the extensive archival and anniversary project dedicated to The Peawees' catalog. Newly remastered and returning to vinyl with an updated graphic design and a new cover, it documents a moment of artistic transformation and stands as one of the most expressive works in the band's discography.
