Originally released in 2018, Moving Target marked a pivotal moment in The Peawees' long-running evolution. After more than two decades of rening their craft, the Italian band delivered an album that pushed their sound further into a territory where rock 'n' roll, garage, soul and punk collide with condence and clarity. Recorded at TUP Studio in Brescia and produced by Brown Barcella and frontman Hervé Peroncini, Moving Target reveals a band at full maturity. The songwriting is lean, the arrangements are sharp, and the performances radiate a tension between grit and melody. Echoes of 60's girl-group pop and Phil Spector production sit alongside jangling guitars, R&B-driven rhythms, raw punk urgency and soulful vocal phrasing. It is one of the Peawees' most textured and musically rich works, without sacricing the rough energy and tight rock 'n' roll attack that made their name. Upon release, Moving Target was acclaimed as one of the band's strongest records, capturing their ability to connect past and present rock traditions with a personal and unmistakable voice. Songs such as "Stranger," "Walking Through My Hell," "The Matter" and "As Long As You Can Sleep" showcase their rened sense of hook, pacing and emotional swing, while the album as a whole stands as a testament to their commitment to classic songwriting delivered with punk spirit. This Wild Honey Records reissue brings Moving Target back into circulation as part of an extensive archival project celebrating The Peawees' history. The full reissue series will present newly remastered editions of the band's catalog with updated packaging, inserts and archival material, culminating in a complete box set and individual LP releases. The project also coincides with major live celebrations of the band's anniversary, including international shows and a rst tour in Japan. With more than twenty years behind them, Moving Target conrms why The Peawees have long been considered one of Europe's most enduring and compelling rock 'n' roll groups.
