To describe Between Bodies as an insider tip on the European punk/indie scene is now a huge understatement. After their debut album, “Electric Sleep” from 2022, the band was on the lips of everyone who loves melodic, driving, emotional punk rock with a DIY spirit. By 2025 at the latest, when the band from Cologne, Toronto, and Paderborn had supported established acts such as Touché Amore, The Get Up Kids, The Hotelier, and Captain Planet in sold-out clubs, appeared at numerous scene festivals, and significantly expanded their listener base once again, Between Bodies have become one of the most exciting up-and-coming punk bands in this country. The songs and lyrics of the band, founded at the end of 2019, are—as is often claimed, and in this case correctly—of international caliber and reminiscent of favorites such as Joyce Manor, The Menzingers, and Tigers Jaw. Their sound is also reminiscent of 90s emo-punk classics, shows influences from 00s post-punk/indie, and has plenty of character and a wealth of ideas that simply make Between Bodies an extraordinary band.
