Etters, The - Maken Je Hartstikke Dood! LP (green)

The first (and maybe last, who's to say?) album of Dutch language garagepunk band The ETTERS is called The ETTERS maken je hartstikke DOOD! (The ETTERS Kill You Totally DEAD!) and punches your lights out with 21 songs in 19 minutes and 46 seconds. Sjerrie (ex-The Apers and ex-The Jerry Hormone Ego Trip), Loena and Keet (both ex-Coco Cocaine) take turns singing songs with stoopid on purpose Dutch lyrics like: -Ik wil patat met een snack! (I want fries and a snack!) -Jij krijgt geen hoofd van mij! (You get no head from me!) -Ik pis in je brievenbus! (I piss in your mailbox!) -Wat een kleine lul heb jij! (What a tiny dick you've got!) -Ik ben harder dan je vriendje! (I'm harder than your boyfriend!) -Lekker speed snuiven! (Snorting speed, yummy!) -Ik wil een Viennetta! (I want a Viennetta!) -Iedereen is fan van The ETTERS! (Everybody is a fan of The ETTERS!) Yes, sophisticated laughs galore, but The ETTERS' songs aren't just incredibly stoopid, nope, they're also damn catchy: hear 'm once and have 'm stuck in your head for the rest of your life. And to top it all off, the record has this delicious raw, hausgemacht lo-fi 90's Rip Off Records sound!
