Automatic Lovers from Madrid are a band driven by loud guitars, dirty riffs, and a love for early UK punk and proto-punk. Their sound blends high-energy rock ’n roll with the attitude and speed of punk, creating songs that are both gritty and instantly catchy. THE VIBRATORS, SLAUGHTER & THE DOGS and THE BOYS are all channeled with reckless, fesh energy and an old-school rock ’n roll attitude. The original songs of this young band hit hard and their love for the genre shows through their choice to cover some very obscure proto-punk gems like “HIGH DEGREE” by NEXT and “PUSHIN’ TOO HARD” by the aforementioned VIBRATORS. More than anything, Automatic Lovers show that despite being almost 50 years old, first wave punk music can still sound as fresh as back in the day when the bands that inspired them first set foot on a stage… and these young guns are more than well equipped to preserve and bring this raw sound into the future.
