One of New York City's most enigmatic hardcore bands finally gets their due with the release of their long-lost full-length sessions, originally recorded circa 1984-85 for Big City Records. This 12" compiles 17 tracks from those sessions, plus all of their Big City compilation tracks and three live cuts from CBGB. Ultra Violence's brand of slow and pounding hardcore stands out from their contemporaries, setting the stage for the crunch of late-'80s NYHC, but still firmly rooted in the sounds of New York City punk.
