Punk is inherently intertwined with politics and activism, and Girls to the Front! is no exception. Thirteen FLINTA*-fronted bands are shattering the patriarchy and broadening the image of punk, which is still too often dominated by a cis-heterosexual clique. Part 2 features Supermarkt, Ontaard, The Woman, Earwurms, Clitteband, Camy Hout, Hondenfokker, Snackbar, Bombstrap, Kaat van Stralen, Quatch, Naaimachine, and Bleedroot. Together they bring a diverse sound, driven by a diverse group of people; from post-punk to electro-punk and metal. With Girls to the Front!, space is claimed, boundaries are pushed, and everyone is welcome.
