Gossip's 2006 album Standing in the Way of Control punches you in the face with its jagged post-punk rhythms, garage rock production and riot-grrrl swagger and it doesn't care if you like it or not.

Seattle-based indie rock band Gossip recorded their third album at the famed Bear Creek Studios in rural Washington, the album was produced by Fugazi vocalist Guy Piccciotto. Standing in the Way of Control was a huge success in the UK, it reached number one on the UK indie chart and is certified gold. The album influenced many 2010's dance-punk and post-punk groups.
