Kurt Baker Combo – In Orbit LP

He’s baaack! A man who, by now, really needs no introduction to everyone reading/receiving this, but, as sales and marketers of the finest pop music and the like on the planet, here’s the pitch! A master of hooks and melody, Kurt Baker's music embodies a feel-good spirit wrapped in a punk rock sheen inspired by music of decades past. After several records with The Leftovers, the Maine native struck out solo and released three full-length albums, along with a prolific output of B-sides and covers, touring with the likes of The Offspring and Tommy Stinson. He soon caught the attention of Little Steven Van Zandt, proprietor of Wicked Cool Records. The Combo consists of Juancho Lopez on bass guitar (Paul Collins Beat, Peralta, The Crepitos), Jorge Colldan (Holy Sheep, The Flash, Señor No) on guitar and backing vocals, and Sam Malakiam on drums (Alrighters, Los Platillos Volantes). While continuing in the tradition of the power pop sound Kurt has been known for, the Combo also brings in elements of Pub Rock, Garage and no holds bar wild rock n’ roll a la The MC5, The Remains, Eddie and the Hotrods and Redd Kross.
