A hidden national treasure, Sur-Rur, turns 30 in 2026. For three decades this trio has perfected their mix of pop-punk, Beat Happeningish sloppy indie aesthetics, naive and sincere lyrics about everyday encounters and disappointments and the singer-songwriter Ville Vuorenmaa's distinctive cut-and-paste artwork. If you like early 90s American lofi indie punk you'd definitely love Sur-Rur, and there's tons of Sur-Rur stuff out there. Härveli is the band's latest album released in September 2025, the album hit the Finnish album charts on the week it came out. In late 2025 Sur-Rur was nominated for the Finnish "Grammys."
