A cult classic! Resistance 77 formed in the very early 80s, and this debut album dates back to 1984. Starting out in 1980 meant they knew exactly how to handle the style of early 77 punk while also looking ahead to the UK's second wave of the 80s. Resistance 77 excels in that blend of punk and Oi! that so many bands would later emulate. Released on Rot Records, this is one of those hard to find British punk albums ; with prices that can skyrocket! After a 2019 reissue sold out almost immediately, it is back again with a different colored sleeve. "Thoroughbred Men" remains their best album to date, even though the band has consistently delivered gems over the years. It features 12 essential tracks that, unfortunately, didn't get the success they deserved at the time due to the record's rarity.
