The Basque Oi!/Punk veterans Orreaga 778 are back with a brand new 6-track 12” EP, pressed on single-sided vinyl and packed with the powerful sound that has defined the band throughout their long career. Formed in 2005, Orreaga 778 have spent the last two decades developing their own distinctive take on Oi! and Punk, drawing inspiration from the classic English and French Oi! scene as well as the legendary Basque Punk bands of the 1980s. Over the years, they have released a handful of EPs and LPs, always staying true to their roots while keeping their sound fresh, direct and full of energy. This new release delivers everything you would expect from Orreaga 778: powerful melodies, killer guitars, driving rhythms and lyrics sung in Euskera, all wrapped up in a raw and anthemic approach that pays tribute to both sides of their musical heritage. The songs combine the punch and attitude of Oi! with the rebellious spirit of Punk, creating memorable choruses and infectious riffs that are made to be shouted along to. Nearly two decades after their formation, Orreaga 778 continue to prove that their particular blend of Basque Punk and classic Oi! remains as powerful as ever.
