Pointed Sticks - Three Lefts Make A Right LP

Released on the Northern Electric imprint, self produced, and mixed at the Warehouse by Mike Fraser (AC/DC etc) , the album features 13 original songs that succeed both in capturing the fun of the bands heyday, yet also pointing towards a more reflective style of writing befitting the bandfs extraordinary life experience. Pointed Sticks were formed in 1978, in the first wave of the emerging Vancouver punk rock scene. Along with their contemporaries, such as D.O.A., The Dishrags, Subhumans, Modernettes, and others, the PS were an integral part of a local music explosion that has long been commented on and admired by critics world wide. Fighting against the resistance of what was an overwhelmingly reactionary Canadian music scene at the time, the PS relied on the formula of independent releases, extensive touring, and the underground grapevine, to eventually make their way to a recording deal with UK pioneers Stiff Records, the only Canadian band to do so. The Pointed Sticks broke up in 1981. This incredible, original-era punk-power-pop quintet were gone 25 years 1981-2006!
