Re-release of the busy ex-The Adverts frontman’s sixth solo album as a colored LP in Gatefold cover on Last Exit Music!
TV Smith is a British punk rock musician known for his energetic performances and critical lyrics. Born in 1956, he began his musical career as the frontman of the influential punk band The Adverts in the late 1970s. With hits like “Gary Gilmore’s Eyes” and “One Chord Wonders” they quickly established themselves as an important voice in the punk rock scene. TV Smith’s distinctive voice and captivating stage presence helped make the band a popular live act. After The Adverts disbanded in 1979, TV Smith embarked on a solo career and released his first solo album, Channel Five, in 1983. Since then, he has built an impressive discography that includes a variety of studio albums, live recordings and collaborations. Misinformation Overload is 12 songs, including Es Stört Mich Nicht, which is sung in German. Originally released in 2005 and recorded with the help of Die Toten Hosen drummer Vom Ritchie, it is more of a flawless punk rock album, which is very different from TV’s otherwise quiet solo albums.
