She embodies all the facets of the music that fascinates us, and this album of covers (plus two originals) pays tribute to 77 punk (via Generation X and the Saints / Missing Links), the classic 70s sound (Alice Cooper and the MC5), not to mention the 50s (via Wanda Jackson and Mickey & Sylvia) and power pop (top covers of Elvis Costello and the Paul Collins Beat)... A few guests add further sparkle to this album, with the great Travis Ramin (who led the sessions) and Jonathan Paley, and this splendid translucent pink vinyl brings to life this record that was only released in Japan on CD more than twenty years ago by Base Records...
